Choose a state to begin planning a day at the races. Each card lists the racecourses you can explore here, with their cities and direct links to track guides. Use the state schedule to compare published race days across those venues, or go straight to a familiar track when you already know where you want to visit.
The state directory is a starting point for geographic browsing. A state can include tracks in different cities, so check the city before choosing a destination. Open the track guide for its address, local time zone and official visitor link. The number on each state card counts the featured tracks listed on this site; it does not mean every racecourse in that state is included.
A racecourse is the place where racing takes place. A meet is a scheduled season or stretch of racing at that venue, and a race day is one day within the meet. That day can contain several individual races. Follow the state schedule into a meet, choose a race day and open the numbered race for its details. A track can host more than one meet in a year, so its name alone is not enough to identify a particular race.
A venue’s season dates do not necessarily mean horses race there every day. For example, the California Horse Racing Board’s allocation calendar distinguishes allocated racing periods from actual racing days. Look for a published day on the track calendar, then check the official venue information for admission and opening times. Simulcasting means watching races taking place elsewhere; it is different from attending live racing at that track.
Choose your state, compare the listed cities and open a track guide to check its address. This directory does not calculate distance from your location, so confirm the journey before booking a visit.
No. A track remains in the directory between meets and on days without live racing. Open its schedule to find a published race day, or use today’s schedule to compare announced cards.
The track is the venue. The meet is a named period of racing held there. Open a meet to see its race days and then select an individual race by date and number.
The cards show the states and racecourses available in this guide. If a destination is absent, check its official racing calendar directly; absence from this directory does not mean racing is unavailable there.
