New York Racing Seasons & Visitor Guide
Saratoga's season within the New York calendar
Saratoga Race Course is a seasonal Thoroughbred venue in Saratoga Springs. Its main summer meet is only part of New York's racing calendar. Outside that season, use NYRA's official schedule to identify the host track rather than treating an empty Saratoga week as a statewide break.
Meet names and actual host venues
A race title or meet name does not always identify the physical track hosting that edition. Open the dated event and confirm the venue before arranging tickets or travel. This is especially useful when comparing Belmont Stakes editions or following a broadcast that covers different New York meetings.
Race Course, harness racing and summer visits
Saratoga Race Course and Saratoga's harness racing venue are different places with separate cards. At the Race Course, choose the date and admission area first, then check parking and entry information. Morning tours or workouts are separate from an afternoon racecard.

New York Horse Racing: Common Questions
Does Saratoga race throughout the year?
