Breeders’ Cup Classic versus the full championships
The Classic is one race within the Breeders’ Cup. The program also separates sprinting, longer distances, turf racing and divisions for fillies and mares. A reference to the Breeders’ Cup start time may mean television coverage or the first race of a day. Use the individual race name to identify the contest you want.
Choosing a championship to follow
Juvenile divisions feature two-year-olds; other championship divisions have different age and sex conditions. Dirt and turf are separate surfaces, so similarly named races can be very different contests. The 2026 host is Keeneland, which has a separate fall meet as well. Open the championship edition for its race days, then select an individual race for entries, results and available video.
