Tampa Bay Downs Meet 2026–2027: Race Day Guide
A Florida racing season that continues into spring
Tampa Bay Downs’ 2026–2027 meet begins in November and continues into the next calendar year. Treat it as one season when finding racecards: January and spring races belong with the edition that opened in 2026. The year on an older stakes page may refer to a different season.
The official racing calendar distinguishes live racing days, simulcast-only days and closures. Only a live racing date means horses are scheduled to race at Tampa Bay Downs. Begin with that calendar when planning a trip, then use the published racecard for the individual contests and their order.
Check the dated card for first post and holiday changes
Holiday arrangements and selected feature days can differ from the regular timetable. The dated racecard is the useful reference for a race’s scheduled start; a general visitor page or an older season’s program is not enough to establish the time for every day of this meet.
For attendance, separate gates opening from first post and leave time to enter and find a viewing spot. For watching remotely, select your own time zone and use each race’s displayed post time. The race-day heading retains the Florida date, which is also the reference when you later look for the result.
Find entries, feature races and the finish
Open a race for its available runners, conditions and distance. Check race-day changes before following a horse, since entries and final starters can differ. A stakes calendar helps identify a feature day, but use the correct 2026–2027 edition and the published card for its race number and post time.
After racing, choose the completed contest for available results and replay information. The official racing calendar helps distinguish live and simulcast dates, while the official admission guide covers visiting the track. If a future card is absent here, consult the calendar rather than assuming the day is cancelled.
